josh and hazel’s guide to not dating by christina lauren

This book was too adorable.

This book is about Hazel who is labeled “too much” to other people but that label doesn’t stop her and her friend Josh, who she known since college. They both agreed to set dates for each other while falling for each other and you know how the story goes after that.

My third Christina Lauren book and I honestly really enjoyed this book! It’s almost up there with the Unhoneymooners!

There’s something about the really quirky weird protagonist and the guy that accepts her for what she is trope that makes me happy, maybe because it resonance with me because I’m that weird nerd girl who obsesses over books and gives me hope they’re guys out there who’ll accept my weirdness.

The book felt more like a K-Drama than a regular story but I didn’t see it as a problem, also Josh is Korean so yay for diversity.

I don’t really have a problem with this book. This book told a good story and I really enjoyed it and I highly recommend it!

I rate this four stars!

Thanks for reading! 🎃

Hazel Camille Bradford knows she’s a lot to take—and frankly, most men aren’t up to the challenge. If her army of pets and thrill for the absurd don’t send them running, her lack of filter means she’ll say exactly the wrong thing in a delicate moment. Their loss. She’s a good soul in search of honest fun.

Josh Im has known Hazel since college, where her zany playfulness proved completely incompatible with his mellow restraint. From the first night they met—when she gracelessly threw up on his shoes—to when she sent him an unintelligible email while in a post-surgical haze, Josh has always thought of Hazel more as a spectacle than a peer. But now, ten years later, after a cheating girlfriend has turned his life upside down, going out with Hazel is a breath of fresh air.

Not that Josh and Hazel date. At least, not each other. Because setting each other up on progressively terrible double blind dates means there’s nothing between them…right?
